On 3rd August 2018, the Student Council members and the teachers of DPS, Nashik set out on an astonishing Leadership Camp. At the first destination, Kailash Hills, the students enjoyed Burma Bridge crossing. The next destination was Kajauli Parbat, where the students trekked towards their camping site. The students were thrilled and nervous about the water rappelling activity. They encouraged their fellow team members to perform and let go of their fear. The hide-and-seek of showers, the sunshine, greenery and the fresh air made the indulgence in nature a pleasurable activity. Whilst rejoicing amidst the wilderness, the students also learnt about being responsible towards it. After the tiring activities, the growling stomachs were fed with a delicious lunch. The next destination was Grape County Eco Resort. The students, eagerly looking forward to staying at a farmhouse. They quickly freshened up for the indoor games like talent show, passing the parcel, and antakshari. The games helped in developing the students interpersonal skills. The students displayed their hidden talents through all these programmes. All the teachers also participated in the games and boosted their enthusiasm. The highlight of the evening was Principal Dr. Pushpy Dutt joining in all the merriment. She also narrated a few interesting incidents of her school and college days. The funniest session was on 'mimicry,' where the students mimicked their teachers and vice-versa. After a day full of fun and frolic, the group devoured a heavy dinner and an equally yummy dessert. The day concluded with students dancing to their heart’s content. The next day, the bus departed back to Nashik and the students reached their homes with a lot of memories to cherish for a lifetime. The Camp saw a lot of new leaders emerging to don the mantle of leadership in various roles.
